Construction Project Manager | Civil Engineering

Job Description

• RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in estimating project-related costs;
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and general conditions;
  • Visit project sites based on project and bid requirements;
  • Prepare calls for tenders;
  • Meet with the client at various stages of the project;
  • Monitor bid submission deadlines;
  • Coordinate and supervise all stages of the project;
  • Ensure cost control;
  • Assess costs of additional work and issue change requests;
  • Manage non-conformities;
  • Enforce safety on job sites and implement the prevention program in coordination with foremen;
  • Ensure quality control;
  • Supervise the site foreman or superintendent;
  • Finalize project costs upon project completion;
  • Contribute to the company’s continuous improvement;
  • Perform all other related tasks;
  • Negotiate with suppliers;
  • Document and resolve claims files.

• EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or college degree in civil engineering, or any other relevant training;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Knowledge of Quebec’s construction laws and regulations;
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
