Accounting Technician

Job Description

• RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform the full accounting cycle ;
  • Maintain accounts in the accounting software ;
  • Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations ;
  • Manage accounts payable (entry, payments) ;
  • Manage accounts receivable (billing, collections) ;
  • Enter accounting entries and adjustments ;
  • Process construction payrolls ;
  • Prepare month-end and year-end documents ;
  • Handle intercompany billing ;
  • Manage supplier account openings and reconcile Visa cards ;
  • Perform any other related administrative tasks.

• EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • DEC, DEP or AEC in accounting or related field ;
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the construction sector ;
  • Minimum 3 years of construction payroll experience ;
  • Proficiency in French and good knowledge of English (oral and written) ;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite ;
  • Experience with accounting software (Acomba or Sage 50, an asset).
